Day 1
Boarded Boeing 777 and took off at 11.00. Managed to enjoy the all new economy class on Singapore Airlines. It was fantastic.
Got off the plane at around 15.20 and head towards the Airport Express. Within 25 minutes, we arrived at Central. Took a cab to the boutique hotel at Leighton Road - The Lanson Place. And may I emphasise. Boutique hotel. Equipped with swivel television sets, luxurious quilts etc. It was defintely a treat after the previous hectic week of teaching the kids all day.
By 17.45, we got out and went towards my uncle's place at Fanling which was along the KCR route. Just 2 more stops and we would have been at Shenzhen. So just imagine the journey. All the way from Causeway Bay.
That was it. Dinner and back to the hotel for a good night's sleep.
Day 2
Got up at 8am and went for breakfast which was complimentary.
By 10am, we finally set foot at all shopperholics dream. Giordano, Esprit, Muji, Lane Crawford (Aveda, Benefit, Marc Jacobs...) , Timesquare (CitySuper, I.T., b+ab, FCUK, Pedder Red...), Island Beverly. And the list goes on. Had HouHungGei for lunch and some jap restaurant for dinner at Sogo.
Home sweet home to hotel. Borrowed Narnia from the concierge and watched half of it till 1am. And of course, not forgetting my HK$39 Godiva Dark Mint Chocolate drink. Awesome.
Probably starting to burn a whole in my pocket. 2 more days to go.
Day 3
My sisters made breakfast and I ate breakfast in bed. ;)
It was shopping after breakfast . H&M. Its an equivilant of topshop and forever 21. But my dear friends, its much more fashion forward and AFFORDABLE! A pity I didn't get much due to my sister's consistent nagging to get more staple clothes for uni. So I can mix and match. Darn.
DimSum with my uncle at causeway bay. Back to hotel to dump the baggage and off to Mongkok. Fa Yuen St, Argyle St, Langham place. They were all awaiting our arrival. :D
Searched for KrispyKreme at Lee Gardens after returning to Causeway bay. Had sesame almond paste for dessert and finished Narnia by 2am.
Day 4
Had breakfast at the hotel again. Went off to Sogo one last time. Saw a pair of wellington boots but gave up the idea in the end. Knowing how being individualistic in Singapore can attract numerous stares.
Did last minute shopping at Muji and Lane Crawford. Back to hotel and by 14.45 it was time to board the (snail) bus to the airport.
Had huilaushan for the last time and it was time to say goodbye HK 2007 at 18.30.
(Flight back was on Boeing 747. Nothing compared to 777)
Conclusion. HK 2007 was absolute fun.
